  1. How do you feel about putting a demo reel on your IMDb page? I know a lot of actors do, but I have always been worried about their assertion that they own any video that is put on IMDb. Section 8 of the IMDb Pro subscriber agreement states that in regards to all contents submissions, “you grant IMDb and its affiliates a nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, access, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such Content Submissions throughout the world in any media.” So if I were to put up clips of me on Grey’s Anatomy, IMDbPro can use that clip from NBC/universal in advertising without compensation to NBC Universal. When NBCU/universal sends them a cease-and-desist, IMDbPro will say, “Oh Jeff Holman gave us permission to use that. Take it up with him.“. Then I will get sued by NBCU/universal.

  2. loved this! Going to get on my daughters Imbd right now to make sure it’s all up to date! thanks for the info!
