All About Boundaries | Acting Resource Guru

I’m going to give you a little window into my life right now. Every couple of months I sit down and brainstorm what the heck I am going to make videos about for ARG. This last time, I thought to myself – What’s actually stopping my audience from experience the level of acting success that they deeply desire and deserve?

And the answer came right to me. Our boundaries as actors are not strong enough.

That probably wasn’t what you were expecting to hear, right?

Watch this video and I’ll show you what I mean.

Maybe you’ve had to set some tough boundaries in your life and career.

Like deciding to temporarily give up your weekly brunch with your bestie (who’s a little pissed) in order to have more time to write your passion project.

Or setting boundaries with your family when you’re visiting over the holidays.

Or telling your agent you’re not willing to do non-union work any more. Or single line co-stars.

I taught a complete masterclass in our ARG Pro membership about how to maintain your boundaries bc that shiz ain’t easy. It’s easy to set a boundary, but it’s not easy to stick to it.

It can be uncomfortable to say no. We can feel like we are missing out.

But I guarantee you this. If you uphold your boundaries, you will be more creative, more responsible, more inspired and a whole lot less resentful… because you are keeping your promises to yourself.

Hope this helps!
