The Secrets To Putting Yourself On Tape (with guest Darren Darnborough from We Rehearse!)
Happy Guru Tips Tuesday! Today we have such an exciting video, with a very special guest, Darren Darnborough from We Rehearse, an amazing free website that allows actors to make money by being a reader for other actors!. Today we have a part 1 of a 2-part video series on how to rock your self-tapes and show you how to impress the casting director… without even needing to be in the room! So much casting is done off tape now, so this is definitely a skill to have, and a video you don’t want to miss!
Have you seen our #AgentSeries videos? Click here to check it out!
Now I want to hear from you! Tell us something you’re going to implement in your next self tape! Share in the comments below! (did we mention we give away prizes to commenters every Tuesday?!)
Be sure to help your fellow actors by sharing these tips on Twitter! #SelfTapes #GuruTipsTuesday

I am really appreciative of this video, thanks! I’d really like advice on how to get an unsolicited self tape seen by the casting director.

great video. I wish you covered the problem of having a reader. What do you do if you are “self” taping but you need a reader to read the part with you? What do you do if it’s just you… hence, “self” tape?
Thanks
Joseph

If you don’t have an agent, perhaps you could quickly call the office and ask for an email address to send a self-tape. I’ve done it before, and got a callback for a huge feature!

You could actually have another actor read for you online while you’re taping yourself near your computer! Check out WeRehearse.com.
