It’s April, which means it’s #AgentMonth at Acting Resource Guru.
First I showed you how to make an agent target list, then I gave some Pro Tips on how to cold email an agent, and this week I’m talking about an issue that PLAGUES our industry: SCAM AGENTS.
Scammers take advantage of unsuspecting people who are making the brave choice to chase their dreams. Just to make a quick buck. Needless to say, I can’t stand scammy agents, so I am going to teach you how to avoid them.
There’s a ton of info this week, so be sure to have a pen ready when you watch below!

FAR too many actors are victims of scams. Learn some #GuruTips to AVOID scam talent agents in this week’s free video from @ActResourceGuru #ActorsLife #ShareClick to Tweet This Episode of #GuruTips!

I mentioned the General Service Agreement in the video, which is WAY too vague. Be sure to grab the updated 3rd edition of my Agent Action Guide. Not only does it show you how to attract, sign with, and maintain a great relationship with your agent, but I also detail some important changes you need to make to the General Service Agreement (in other words, your contract)! It’s super important info, so grab your copy here!
