Four ‘C’s To Help You Book More Roles
Have you ever felt that you’re amazing at coming up with new creative ideas, but they just never get done? Maybe you’re awesome at supporting others’ work, but feel like there’s something you’re missing. Don’t worry, me too. We’re the CEOs of our career and there’s a whole lot of work to be done, so we have to wear a whole lot of hats. One minute, we are designing a website for our Kickstarter campaign, and the next minute we are in a rehearsal that involves stage combat.
Many of us understandably struggle with some things we have to do. It seems unrealistic to expect to be able to do ALL of these different things well. I mean, we all have different strengths and weaknesses, right?
Then it hit me.
I was listening to a podcast by one of my favorite business coaches, and I realized that everything I was learning was relevant to actors! Just like in a business (or a film set!), there are certain roles that we take on individually, and certain roles that others take on for us.
So what are these roles and how exactly do we master these roles to book… more roles?
I’m calling them the four ‘C’s and I’m explaining them all in this week’s #GuruTips for actors!
I know I’m definitely a connector but… sometimes not so cautious. Which of the four ‘C’s are you best at? Share in the comments below and connect with others in the community to find someone that can help in the area you need a little support in!
Do you have a juicy question you want me to cover in an episode of GuruTips for Actors? I’ll be answering YOUR questions the last Tuesday of every month, so be sure to send them in to questions@workshopguru.com!
Any cheerleaders out there?
