Slate to Screen – Episode 3 – Heather Dowling on This Is Us!

This week, we have a SUPER exciting Slate to Screen: Heather Dowling’s audition and BOOKING for a liiiittle show called This Is Us. Heather is a longtime member of The Table, and is also a prolific content creator both on stage and screen. Heather manages to walk the line of simplicity and urgency with the ease of a total pro in this tape. It is such a JOY to watch her work!

Right before this booking, Heather expressed frustration around what she perceived as a lack of audition opportunities. On paper, she was doing it all: working on her craft, creating content, living an artistic life, and yet the one thing she was missing was SPACE. She literally had no room in her schedule for the auditions to flow through. In our coaching call, I suggested she create a vacuum, some space for those auditions to flow in..

And what do you know? With that simple shift on top of her already rock-solid foundation, she booked one of her dream shows!
