How to Make It As an Actor
What does it mean to “make it” as an actor?
Lots of people will say it means that all your money comes from acting. It means you are finally able to fully support yourself with acting income.
But I think it’s a lot more deep than that.
I think it means freedom.
So I encourage actors to create residual income sources so that they are thriving financially whether they are working as an actor or not.
And having a side hustle doesn’t mean you are not a successful actor. Celebrities are doing it.
For many successful actors, this is more than a way to supplement income… it’s also a way to feed other aspects of their creativity.
Watch this video and I’ll explain.
Think about what you might like to create for yourself, and share it with me in the comments. I’d love to hold space for your vision!

This video is IT! I’ve realized acting is my dream! Birds are my passion too. Loving and protecting them (and the whole animal kingdom! And all of mankind! And the environment!…) I can make as my ‘sideline’ whilst pursuing my dream!
Celebrating two birds with one voice!…. it’s a start.
Thanks Ajarae! I love you

Ajarae – Great topic. It challenges us to think about what else we can do that feeds are creativity, and can also bring additional $$$$$$$$$$. For someone like Courtney Cox, the $$$$$$$$$$$ translate to someone saying, “I value what you do.” For someone like me, it means I can indulge in my boba milk tea addiction.
I also love that you’re including some blooper footage at the beginning of your videos. It’s a great reminder that the polished, finished product didn’t happen in one take.

I really enjoy acting, but it’s not all about truly making it. I’m currently going to school to become an ASL Interpreter, because I love Deaf culture, the Deaf community, and ASL alone. So, I want to share that along my creative side of my acting career. Of course I want to book jobs in acting, but there’s other things in life that I love, like ASL.
