What To Do When You’re Just Not Feeling 100%
Happy Tuesday! Today we were going to go over how to Taft-Hartley yourself, but unfortunately… I woke up without a voice. There is a major bug going around LA and this made me realize what a common problem this is. How many times have you had something important planned, like auditions, filming, or in my case filming this episode, and as luck would have it- you end up sick! So this week, I wanted to help.
This week on #Gurutips, I’m highlighting some easy things that I do to help me avoid getting sick and what to do when you’re just not feeling 100%. Always be sure to self-evaluate, if you’re really ill, then don’t go to the audition. Your agent will understand, and the casting director certainly won’t hold it against you- they don’t want to be sick either. (They might even thank you for your honesty!)
Next week we’re back on schedule! We’ll be going over how to Taft-Hartley yourself (make yourself SAG-AFTRA-eligible) which will propel yourself forward. Joining the union is a big step, but sometimes it can be tough just to get in. Ah! So many people have been sick this month!
I went to Earth Bar and got a wellness infusion, filled with nutrients for combating a virus and it helped me recover faster. I highly recommend! 😉

Face melter or ginger shots. Zinc. Check out an holistic pharmacy or store. Elderberry for throat and lungs. Slippery elm. Mastic gum for ulcers. :p. Holly basil to relax and calm sleep. – laura ann tull
